Dharmashakthi, the interfaith dialogue group, had the privilege of meeting the First Lady of Iran during her visit to Sri Lanka on April 24, 2024. This encounter was significant as Her Excellency expressed a desire to engage with religious leaders during her brief stay on the island. In her address to the gathering, Her Excellency spoke passionately about contemporary societal issues, emphasizing the importance of supporting people in their spiritual journey to lead more meaningful lives.

 

She underscored the various challenges that hinder individuals from experiencing fulfillment and highlighted the pivotal role spirituality plays in overcoming these obstacles. Her Excellency articulated that by nurturing spiritual well-being, we can pave the way for individuals to lead happier lives with a sense of social security. Her simplicity of expression revealed a profound vision for a better tomorrow, underscoring her commitment to fostering a society where everyone can thrive.
