International Women's Day Celebrations
The committees on Justice and Peace and The Elimination of Gender-based Violence, organized Women's Day programs for the fishing community residing in Dikovita a sub station of Palliyawatta Parish. Our main objectives were to raise awareness on family life and provide understanding on current issues that hinder the growth and development of children. Women play a significant role in decision making in the family. Therefore, it is urgent that they learn more skills that enable them to improve the quality of their families. There were 35 participants who benefited from this program. |
